About Me:

Meredith S. Boyan is a Band Director in her 11th year at Mountain Lakes High School. She teaches the Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and instrumental lessons. She also directs the Blue Notes Jazz Band, and is the Producer of the annual play and musical. She earned her Bachelor of Music degree from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in 2007, where she concentrated in Saxophone and Music Education, and her Masters in Wind Conducting in 2013, also from MGSA. She has studied conducting with many teachers, including Kraig Williams, Jerry Junkin, Mallory Thompson, Michael Haithcock, Roby George, Dick Floyd, and Kenneth Kiesler. Outside of school, she is a mom to her wondeful daughter, and she loves to bake. She also performs regularly in amateur pit orchestras throughout New Jersey specializing in Woodwinds.

A New Jersey native, Mrs. Boyan grew up in Somerville, where she could always be found in the band room; some things never change!
