Dear Laker Community,
Today, the NJSIAA Sports Advisory Task Force, with guidance from the Governor’s Office and the New Jersey Department of Health, issued guidelines for our winter sports seasons with Return to Play Protocols and updates. The NJSIAA memo with specific Return to Play protocols can be found here.
These protocols have created some basic guidelines that all NJSIAA-member schools are required to follow. This winter season has been given the following names: 2, 2A, 3 and the new dates are outlined in the chart below.

Unfortunately, according to these protocols and Governor Murphy’s Executive Order 196, fans are not permitted at our indoor Home and/or Away games at this time. I know this is of great concern to our community and we share in your disappointment. Our games will be livestreamed from our gym through the NFHS Network. We will share livestream information as athletic schedules become available. As always, if any of these protocols change, we will communicate that with the school community immediately.
The NJSIAA plans to release a statement regarding Spring Sports in December.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the athletic office.
Thank you,
Mountain Lakes Athletics and Administrative Team
