Make-up Work

When a student has been absent from school, all missed work should be made up. It is the student's responsibility to consult with his/her teachers about makeup assignments. It is the responsibility of both the student and the teacher to arrange times for make-up work. In the event that a student misses a test during an excused absence, it is the student's responsibility to contact the teacher immediately upon his or her return to school in order to arrange for a make-up test. Teachers are expected to exercise good judgment in making such arrangements and to consult with the pupil's other teachers when a lengthy illness has created a large amount of make-up work to be done in a short period of time. School Counselors are available to assist both the student and the teachers in facilitating the student's transition back to school and in creating a manageable schedule for making up all missed assignments and assessments
