Students must download the digital testing application and practice with questions inside the app. This step should be completed ASAP to preview the exam experience and confirm that your computer will work as expected on exam day.  Exam Setup is required 1-3 days before EACH exam.

Review this video and slideshow for further information. The video provides a quick overview of the digital exams.  The slideshow covers lockdown mode, important features of the digital app, and submitting your exam.

Note: You need a reliable internet connection to test digitally. But the digital testing application will keep running, even if your connection drops momentarily.

AP Schedule & Format:

Digitial exams will be taken from home; in-school paper exams will be taken at MLHS.   Please see the format and time of each exam below.  Note that check in for digital exams begins 30 minutes before start time; see above for arrival times for in-school exams.

Preparing the Home Testing Environment for Digital Exams:

  • Students should do their best to test by themselves in a quiet room. They should:
    • Remove distractions.
    • Enable the do not disturb or quiet setting on their testing device.
    • Let parents, guardians, siblings, and friends know when they’re testing so they won’t be disturbed.
  • They should make sure their device is fully charged or plugged in.
  • If they have limited bandwidth, they should ask others on their network to limit their use of the internet during the exam.
  • Students should have calculators (depending on the subject), scratch paper, pens, and pencils.
  • Prohibited devices and reference materials should not be accessible during the exam.
  • Any member of the household who is an AP teacher must stay out of the room where the student is testing and strictly avoid contact with the student until the exam has concluded.
