Students compete for this award by writing and recording an audio essay on a patriotic theme. The theme for the 2018-2019 contest is "Why My Vote Matters." The first-place winner gets a grand prize of $30,000 as well as an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC. The program gives out a total of $2.1 million in awards and incentives each year.

United States JCI Senate Foundation Scholarship Program
Each year multiple $1,000 grants will be awarded to high school seniors who are US citizens graduating from US accredited schools, and plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities or vocational schools. The number of grants awarded annually will be at the discretion of the United States JCI Senate Foundation. They must be used for educational expenses in the first year of full time study. American Legion National High School Oratorical Contest (9th - 12th Grades)
Students compete for this award by preparing and performing a three- to five-minute oration on some aspect of the US Constitution. The first-place winner receives $18,000, second place receives $16,000, and third place receives $14,000. Hickory Tree Chorus Scholarship
Each year, the Hickory Tree Chorus awards a $1000 Scholarship. Qualified high school senior girls with good academic records and exceptional talent in vocal music are encouraged to apply.  Students should also have applied for acceptance into a music program at a college or university.  Applicants must submit an application and audio or video performance which should include at least two vocal performances that demonstrate her particular talent.  CD’s may include accompaniment, as needed.  Music Educators please encourage your students who have exceptional talent to apply.  Applications will be sent to high school guidance departments in more than 50 communities in the New Jersey area.

The fun and educational "Species on the Edge 2.0" Social Media Contest capitalizes on high school students' expertise with social media platforms, and provides them with the opportunity to showcase their talent, creativity, and love of nature. The contest helps to develop students' experience. All entries will be eligible to win a day in the field with a wildlife biologist.
