Lauren Daniell

Mrs. Daniell is the College & Career Counselor at Mountain Lakes High School

Mrs. Daniell has worked consistently in the field of counseling for the last thirteen years as a counselor, adjunct professor and school administrator. Following her five year combined BA/MA Psychology program at Monmouth University, she attended Seton Hall University for her post graduate work in both mental health and school counseling. In addition to school certification, she is licensed by the Board of Marriage and Family as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor. As an adjunct professor, she specializes in training graduate students to be highly effective counselors and educators in both academic and public settings.

The college and career process is one of the most important challenges our teenagers face today. Mrs. Daniell is not only familiar with the high demands of a college preparatory curriculum, but also with the reality that the college and career process begins almost from the first day students enter the building as freshmen. To this end, she has personally designed and implemented various college programs which span all four years of high school, and work in conjunction with one-on-one personalized guidance. It is in this role that she believes her clinical background and school experience have allowed her  to develop strategies which help students better navigate the college process while minimizing the confusion, stress, and anxiety which so often occur.

Of all the roles she has been fortunate enough to hold over the years, however, the most rewarding is being a wife and mother. Mrs. Daniell is married to her husband Brian. Together they have two children: Parker (3) and Quinn (1). Ms. Daniell enjoys traveling both across the states and abroad, binging on various documentaries on Netflix and spending time with her family.
